Club Odal beats Gouvernment in court |

Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, is the country's largest city and is in the southern part of the country. There are 3 strip-clubs in Iceland. Club Odal in Reykjavik, Casino in Keflavik town near the base and airport and Goldfinger in Kopavogur. Strip-clubs have always been under attack from some politics forces, organization, media and others. These attacks have never been as bad as this year which ended on 31. July when all private dances was banned in Reykjavik, by police ordinance (not law) agreed by town council. After that ban other clubs closed or changed. Club Odal the oldest one, have been opened almost seven years, placed in the center is now the only club running in Reykjavik At Club Odal was made some changes in the club and now is topless shows on the second floor and fully nude dance on our top floor. Lawsuit After the ban on private dances Club Odal filed a lawsuit against Reykjavik city because they can not make some police ordinance that play against the law. So now almost four months later the 22nd of November Club Odal won this lawsuit in under court. We don´t know if it will be taken in higher court or not. After winning this lawsuit Club Odal can practice privatdances or what ever the club wants so for now Club Odal is the only fully working strip-club in Reykjavik. |
